Sinopsis

Two thousand miles of open ocean. Three people aboard. One of them is lying.

Captain Rhys Calder runs every delivery by the checklist. He has already lost one crewman to the Pacific, and he isn't losing another. This job should be simple: take a forty-six-foot cutter from Southern California to Honolulu, on time, for a buyer who's waiting.

Then the owner adds two passengers. Marine biologist Maren Voss has a grant riding on three sampling stations at the North Pacific Gyre and a deadline in Honolulu she can't miss. Theo Marsh, the crewman the owner insisted on, can't tie a cleat hitch and lies in oddly specific detail.

With a gale building to the north, Rhys and Maren have every reason to keep their distance, and less and less interest in doing it. Then her net brings up something that was never meant to be found, and the passage becomes a race no one aboard agreed to.

Lee Shore is a steamy nautical romantic suspense with real seamanship, real open-ocean sailing, competent adults under pressure and open-door heat. It's Book 1 of the Windward series and reads as a standalone, with a complete happily-ever-after. The story runs south down the Baja coast in Set and Drift and closes in Hard Alee, the series finale. Every Windward novel is a complete love story; the suspense runs in order across all three.
