Are you loving someone who's trapped in addiction-and losing yourself in the process?
You're not alone. You're not crazy. And yes, your life can get better.
Help! I Think My Loved One Is an Alcoholic is a compassionate survival guide for anyone who loves an alcoholic-whether you're a spouse, partner, sibling, child, or friend. With clarity and empathy, author Michelle S. Fondin shares her personal experience alongside insights from interviews with ten alcoholics in long-term recovery.
This book will help you understand the disease of alcoholism, make sense of your loved one's behavior, and most importantly, regain your own sense of peace and self-worth.
Inside this book, you'll discover:
- What alcoholism really is-and what it's not (it's not a moral failing or a lack of willpower)
- How to recognize the signs of addiction and why your loved one drinks
- The emotional toll of lies, denial, blame, and manipulation-and how to navigate them
- Practical "action steps" to help you survive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually
- What early sobriety looks like (and why it's often confusing and messy)
-How to surrender, set boundaries, and find compassion without losing yourself
- A spiritual perspective on healing and connecting to God or a higher power
This book is for you if:
With heartfelt support and practical tools, Michelle guides you through the roller coaster of addiction-from the first signs to early recovery-so you can reclaim your peace, clarity, and self-love.
You didn't cause the addiction. You can't control it. But you can survive it-and even grow through it.
