Billy Bane awakens every night in a cold sweat, his dreams plagued by terrifying visions of Dark Lake. It’s an old, dead lake deep in the woods. Nothing lives in or around it and it has a long history of mysterious disappearances and gruesome deaths. Though everyone tells him he’s never been there, Billy suspects that a terrible secret is being kept from him.
Determined to get to the truth behind his nightmares, Billy talks his two best friends into doing their school science project at the lake with him. It’s a fateful decision because there is more to Dark Lake than just scary stories and a disturbing history. Something has been waiting for Billy to return, and he has just put himself and his friends in danger of becoming the next victims of an ancient evil more terrifying than he ever imagined.
