Sinopsis

In 1968 Greg Shoemaker published the first fanzine dedicated to Godzilla and fantasy films from Japan, naming the effort Japanese Fantasy Film Journal, or JFFJ. Not until 1974 did the small and unfocused "kaiju" fandom see an additional publication: Japanese Giants. Editor and publisher Mark Rainey published just the initial issue, but remained involved with the fanzine for the three decades of it's existence. "Godzilla" fanzines exploded in the late 1970s, with a dizzying array of names chosen from a limited numbers of words. Inside this volume you will find: the premier issue of Rainey's Japanese Giants, and the complete press runs of Richard Campbell's Godzilla Fan Letter (Godzillamania), Barry Kaufman's Monsters of Japan, Damon Foster's Japanese Movie Sci-Fi, and Michael C. Martin's Giants From Japan.
