This workbook is designed to accompany the yearlong History Rocks! Communication & Public Speaking course. In the first semester, students are introduced to the foundations of public speaking, critical thinking, argument, and debate. They will explore different styles of speeches, practice rhetorical strategies, and deliver speeches that emphasize clarity, organization, and confidence—including introductory, impromptu, and informational formats.

The second semester shifts toward interpersonal communication. Students will develop practical strategies to connect with others, express themselves effectively, and respond thoughtfully in a variety of settings.
