Sinopsis

No crew. No plan. A ship barely holding together. They flew anyway.

The myths in this world hang overhead like weather. Echo has heard her father tell the story of Osirison since she was small: a son of the gods who drove a dagger through his own heart for love of a siren named Echo. The one she was named after. She does not know yet what that means.

What she knows is the ship. The LLM, a delivery airship patched in more places than she can count, held together by stubbornness more than engineering. Brimstone is her engineer: old, loud, wrong for every job, and exactly who you want in the engine room when everything is breaking.

A delivery job sends Echo into a brothel for a package; she walks out with Minnie, a girl with dark blue hair and mouse ears who looks twelve (she is not), and turns out to be the finest pilot on the ship. The ship's feral metal cat, which has spent months trying to eat Brimstone in his sleep, purrs only for Minnie. A robotic parrot named Spike delivers their mercenary job orders.

This crew was assembled by accident and compassion.
It might be the only one that could have worked.

LLM 3000 is a steampunk found-family adventure built without borrowed architecture: a world where brass is the currency and steam powers the engines, and the floor plan has not been lifted from any castle you have already visited. Sharp humor. Warmth written into every page by hand. The kind of read that stays in your head after the airship lands.

A complete first act: crew assembled, secret revealed, an ending that lands. Written by hand, over coffee, by Mercedes A. Cooper and her mother Elaine Gibbs.

Book One of The Losers League of Misfits. Fully standalone. A prequel exploring the crew backstories is in development for 2027.
