Gabriel Infante, a mystic who could walk on water, levitate in prayer, see the future, heal the sick, expel demons, and even raise the dead… among other things, was a Catholic priest for a decade, but God released him from his vow to serve him in that capacity. Now married to Theresa Reynolds, who also quit her life as a religious sister, and with two children to raise, he continues living his extraordinary life for the honor and glory of God.
Finding himself unemployed and homeless, yet again, Gabriel moved back to his old barrio to stay with his godfather. While there, he faced the forces of evil once more, especially in the human form of a formidable character from his past who forced the mystic to do something he had never done. During this perilous period, the identities of both, Gabriel and Theresa, were stolen and misused; thus, they end up deep in debt, and even in jail! The mystic and his wife weathered the new storm a demon by the name of Tumult brought to their lives. The Miracle Weaver had to expel the fallen angel repeatedly because the demon kept coming back, attempting to destroy the man of God and his family.
Now, old characters reappear in the Infante family’s life, and the discovery of a different way of ministering comes to Gabriel. A strange, infernal dream leads the family to return to San Pepe, Mexico and visit for a short vacation. Once there, they find a complicated, mortal situation. A large friend offers the unemployed mystic a job in his new ranch, and Gabriel gladly accepts it, although he has never done any farm work. Theresa and the children support the husband and father in moving them out of the big city to try living in the country. On the way to take on the new position, the Infante family witnesses a strange crash that brings back other couple of old friends.
