From the cedars of Solomon’s Temple to Jesus’ journeys to Tyre, Sidon, and Cana, and through the widow of Zarephath and the Syrophoenician woman, these pages revisit familiar stories to show how this borderland becomes a holy land and a land of mission.
This book does not aim to be a reference in exegesis, archaeology, or history. It offers a spiritual reading that draws on these fields to illuminate a different purpose: to provide guidance for life today, to reflect on the Church’s mission, and to rediscover Lebanon’s unique place in the Bible.
Based on biblical texts, the insights of the Church Fathers, and the experience of today’s Lebanese communities, the author proposes a simple, practical path.
