The Sacred Heart of Jesus: A Retreat into the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Revealed to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque (Sanctified Souls Devotionals) - Tapa blanda

Sinopsis

"Behold this Heart, which has so loved men." In 1675, in a small Visitation convent at Paray-le-Monial, Our Lord opened His Sacred Heart to a hidden nun named Margaret Mary Alacoque - and gave to the whole Church the devotion of His Heart, the practice of the First Fridays, and the Twelve Promises of His love.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus gathers those Twelve Promises into a retreat. One by one, each Promise is opened slowly: an invocation from the Litany of the Sacred Heart, the Promise itself, and then the words of St. Margaret Mary in her own voice - drawn from the public-domain Life that preserves her memoir - before turning to what the Promise asks of us today, a word of Scripture, a question to carry, and a prayer.

This edition includes:

- The Twelve Promises of the Sacred Heart, prayed one at a time as a retreat

- St. Margaret Mary's own words, with the Three Revelations and her life

- The Litany of the Sacred Heart (Latin & English), the Nine First Fridays, the Holy Hour, and Acts of Consecration and Reparation

- A treasury of traditional prayers, a record of the First Fridays, and pages for your own prayer

- Full-color plates - original Sanctified Souls paintings with public-domain masters - and an original cover

Jessica Huber arranges and edits the great spiritual writings of the Catholic tradition into guided devotionals and structured retreats for Sanctified Souls Press.
