Sinopsis
A collection of disparate works, less about trying to produce something heavily polished, and more about trying to be willing to fall on one's face again. These are poems(and other things) taken, varying from old to not even all the way finished, some very refined pieces, and some very rough-edged attempts at processing my life and things very unsure of. If you are someone accustomed to the DIY music world, the hope was to create something almost more like a demo, while also finally putting into print poems that have long been considered mainstays for live sets/performances.

Acerca del autor
Christian Welch is a nationally touring spoken word artist and DIY organizer currently residing in Chicago. A veteran of the South Florida slam scene, where he was a member of the Ft. Lauderdale nationally-competing youth team that competed at the Brave New Voices youth national spoken word festival and where he racked up numerous wins and top 3 slam finishes, Welch made the decision to leave slam largely behind as an adult. He began a touring career that has taken him across America in various underground music circles, where he has gained near legendary status for the power and sincerity of his poems and performance. Welch is a fixture at Midwest DIY-oriented festivals and also has an active role in organizing and promoting shows in Chicago. He would love to speak endlessly on movies, and how we speak, and the formats of human experience, and the cultural presence of all these things, if given the chance.
