When Callie Coconut has had one too many things on her plate - hula lessons, swimming practice, a haircut, and homework she doesn't understand - she finds herself melting down under the tropical sun. Her tummy hurts, her head is pounding, and she doesn't know why. That's when her friend Collin steps in with a surprising word: stress.
In this warm and reassuring story set among swaying palm trees and ocean breezes, Callie learns that big feelings have a name - and that even kids have the power to make themselves feel better. With Collin's help, she discovers how to use her five senses to calm down: watching puffy clouds drift by, listening to the swoosh of ocean waves, tasting a cool fruit pop, sniffing fresh flowers, and squishing sand between her toes.
Cool Coconuts gives children practical, personalized stress management tools in a way that is playful, empowering, and easy to remember. Helpful information for, parents, teachers, and school counselors is included, offering guidance on how to match five senses relaxation strategies to each child's unique learning style.
Perfect for ages 4-8, this sunny story reminds little ones that they are never too young to take care of their own hearts and minds.
