The Ideas and frameworks fall under thought processes that lived independently and that were part of my practice (tangibly, on my desk, scratched out on 5x8 blank index cards) intangibly occurring in conversation and collaboration over a ten year period. Once that stack of cards had a heft to them, I considered how to organize the ideas.
On a quiet morning in my studio, it occurred to me that I had been addressing various arenas of thought with people from Sydney to San Francisco, from Miami to Munich, and that all six of these Themes were relevant, had resonance, regardless of a native language, social strata, background or convictions."
