Thirteen-year-old Steve Miller knows the rules: stay away from the Cambridge Military Hospital. Ever since the doors were bolted shut in 2012, the crumbling wards have been home to nothing but dust, rust, and shadows. But Steve has his father's old maintenance key card, and a "watch-spring" of curiosity that won't let him stay away.
When Steve and his friends-the tech-obsessed Cal, the jokester Danny, and the determined Priya-venture into the decaying depths of Ward Four, they realise they aren't alone. Between the screaming EMF meters and the sudden, bone-chilling drops in temperature, they discover a tragic history that the town of Aldershot has tried to erase.
Priya's family history is tied to these walls, and a restless spirit is reaching out from the darkness, desperate for the truth to be told. To solve the mystery, the four friends must form The Forgotten Places Club. Their mission? To document the stories the world has forgotten.
But in Ward Four, the past doesn't just speak-it screams. And some ghosts aren't ready to rest until the living pay the price.
