Sinopsis

A smart schoolmate invited each of our final class members to write about themselves. Using some short essays I enjoyed writing, I had gathered some material for such a booklet. Further sources are my music for flute and piano I have recorded together with pianist Thomas Turner,

my completing of the flute sonata BWV 1032 of J.S.Bach, and fantasies about Plato, Mozart and Kafka.

The description of professional growth, and the music playing which I have practiced with endurance during my entire life can motivate and benefit a broader audience.

Acerca del autor

Franz Rothe graduated from high school in Karlsruhe and has studied mathematics, physics and music there. He has received his doctoral degree
in mathematics from the university of Tuebingen, Germany. He received his doctoral degree in mathematics from the university of Tuebingen,
Germany.

For thirty years, Franz Rothe has been professor at the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte, and has published about 40 articles and a lecture
notes in mathematics, and more recently further books on number theory,
modern algebra, graph theory and geometry. Dr. Rothe is retired since
several years, and is now emeritus professor. Meanwhile he has written
books of general interest about music, literature, and his life, too.
