Working as a Watcher, the angel Calastair, does whatever it takes to protect his friends from the cruel jinn, Talock, who has been tasked to remove the memories of Tiffany and Johnathan, the only humans in their circle, because they know too much. As Reka and the others embark on a journey to a safe haven, Cal battles with the enemy.

Meanwhile, Reka and Peter’s relationship begins to heat up. The more time she spends with him, the more she begins to realize what a good mate he would make. But when an innocent flirtation creates a wave of jealousy, she wonders if there is more to her feelings than just choosing the right mate.
