Lessons from Valley View is a poetry collection that honors the life and legacy of the author's late grandfather. Through tender recollections and reflective verse, Caleb Clayton Sellers revisits the unique bond they shared, exploring their enduring similarities, and the life his grandfather lived.
Blending poetry and family photographs, this deeply personal collection explores the journey of grief from the birth of the ancestor to the years of healing the author endures after his grandfather's transition to Heaven. From joyous times with family to lessons learned in grief, Lessons from Valley View invites readers into a world where memory is sacred and healing begins with remembrance.
More than a book, this debut is a promise fulfilled and a tribute to family, legacy, and the Southern tradition of passing down wisdom one story at a time.

Caleb Clayton Sellers is a poet, artist, and teacher born and raised in Holmes County, Florida. His work explores self-discovery, faith, and healing-often drawing on his experience as a gay Christian in the rural South. Through sharing his journey of reclaiming the parts of himself he once left behind, he hopes to inspire others to do the same. Lessons from Valley View is the first release from his self publishing imprint, Rural Renaissance Publishing.
