Paperback. Condición: new. Paperback. One Man.Two Names.Five Perspectives.Kwame Gyamfi has lived several lives, and very few people know all of them. What is a story but one person's retelling of a moment or a series of moments? When enough of these moments are shared one upon the other, they create a picture of a year, a decade, a life. We put them in books and call them memoirs. But what if those same moments could be viewed through a prism? What if, instead of just one person telling their truth, we change our point of view? We incline our head slightly or cast our gaze downward or even close our eyes and take a deep breath. Maybe we'll discover new shapes and colors and aromas-new perspectives-that bring depth and richness to the story. Maybe we'll find connections between my story and yours. This is Kwame Gyamfi's story-vignettes from one man's life that come not just from his point of view but from five perspectives. With the help of five writers, he tells his story of being abandoned as a child and experiencing foster care, adoption, gang violence, and prison. Along the way, he discovered sports, music, beauty, and love, which helped shape him into the mentor and man he is today. This item is printed on demand.
