The Field Manual: God’s Battle Plan
by Benjamin Lee Valentin
A Christian guide using military metaphors to navigate spiritual growth and warfare. The author parallels his personal experiences in the military, particularly basic training, with the Christian journey. Valentin uses military language to illustrate the Christian's battle against sin and spiritual forces, emphasizing discipline, obedience, and reliance on God's power. Drawing from military camaraderie, the author stresses the importance of spiritual "battle buddies" for accountability and support in the Christian walk. Just as basic training transforms civilians into soldiers, spiritual disciplines transform believers into mature Christians. The book is both a memoir and a spiritual guide, blending personal stories with biblical lessons to create a roadmap for living a disciplined Christian life.
This is a Handbook for Christians that seamlessly integrates the Army Core Values into the Christian journey, providing readers with a robust framework for spiritual growth and resilience. These values not only guide military conduct but also serve as essential principles for living a faithful and purpose-driven life in Christ.
