Even the routine dog and cat visits in his veterinary office and animal rescue work carry moments of drama, triumph, and heartbreak that often reveal as much about the humans involved as the animals themselves. The St. Louis veterinarian has close to 40 years’ experience, and his longtime practice, Hillside Animal Hospital, opened more than 60 years ago as one of the first veterinary clinics in the city.
