Sinopsis

There's a line on the blacktop. There's always been a line on the blacktop. Donnie just noticed it.

Room One is back, and so is Ellis, still watching, still asking the kind of question that makes the whole room go quiet for a second before everyone moves on like she didn't say anything. This time it's not about who's in charge. It's about what belongs to whom, who gets to decide that, and what happens to a classroom once everyone starts keeping score.
Donnie has an idea. Pete thinks it's the best idea anyone has ever had. Bobby isn't sure what's safe to share anymore. Kash is, as always, writing it down.

THE SANDBOX continues its deadpan, all-ages satire of a kindergarten that runs less like a classroom and more like a small, increasingly complicated country, where the rules keep moving, the lines keep multiplying, and the only person keeping an honest tally just turned six.
