Sinopsis

Pops looks the same. So why does everything feel wrong?

Fourteen-year-old William—Silly to his family—expects two weeks at his grandfather’s outback roadhouse to mean heat, chores and sleeping under the stars.

Then he sees strange figures behind the ice freezer. Green goop appears in the yard. And Pops starts acting differently: missing jokes, watching customers and chewing ice long after everyone else has gone to bed.
