Welcome aboard Quantum Cab, an inter-dimensional service of many talents. One arrives for you, but you don’t recall calling it. Your driver, Marlowe Nox, seems unconcerned as reality shifts outside the windows. Somewhere between unbelievable destinations and uncomfortable questions, you’ll rediscover who you are, what you’re running from, if there is something and what this ride will actually cost - because it isn't always money.

Fare Fragment is an illustrated solo or group journaling RPG set in the I Believe In Monsters Universe. With two six-sided dice, a pencil, and your imagination, you’ll create a Passenger and build a strange, personal story one Stop at a time. No dedicated game master is required, and no prior knowledge of the universe is needed.

Along the way, you’ll:

• Create your Passenger: Play as a Slime, Ashen, Lucari, Human, or a species of your own invention.
• Discover your story: Begin with a mysterious Fate and a question you desperately need answered.
• Face the unexpected: Encounter strange travelers, returning memories, pursuing threats, and glitches in reality.
• Choose what to reveal: Tell the Driver the truth, lie, or refuse to answer—and live with the consequences.
• Pay your Fare: The Cab might take a favorite song, a treasured memory, your name, or something only you could surrender.

Designed for one or more players, with rides lasting approximately 30–60 minutes—or longer if you want to linger in your journal. Includes character abilities, encounter tables, ending prompts, a Passenger sheet, and a quick reference page.

Every ride creates a different story. Every Passenger leaves something behind.

Your destination determines where you end up. Your Fare determines what’s left of you.
