Sinopsis

Conceived to reflect and exploit the natural acoustics of its premiere venue, this work incorporates internal spatial illusions directly into the instrumental writing. By utilising targeted techniques―including sul ponticello, natural and artificial harmonics, non-vibrato, open strings and extreme dynamic contrasts―the score creates an innate sense of physical depth.
