Nurturing care during the critical window of development, from pregnancy to the first 3 years of life, lays the foundation for lifelong health and well-being. The first three years are the most critical in shaping the child's brain architecture. For achieving the vision of the sustainable development goals, its essential to invest in the policies and interventions of the early childhood development. A model nurturing care intervention has been created and implemented in a few districts of Central India using existing opportunities within ICDS and the health sector. This proposed study will aim to assess the knowledge, skills and motivation of the AWWs who have undergone the training through the above said model that focuses on Incremental Learning Approach (ILA) and to assess gain of the same among the AWWs post intervention by comparing it with the AWWs of a control block where the intervention was not carried out.
