Soft cover. Condición: Fine. 195 p. Includes: illustrations, bibliography. Civil rights are rights belonging to every citizen of the country. These have to do with the rights of citizens to liberty and equality. This is the first book on the Malaysian civil rights movement that spontaneously grew during the Eighties. It remains an inspiration today for ethnic minorities and other oppressed sections of the population. The author was involved in this movement from the start and chronicles its progress while assessing its relevance to present day Malaysian realities. This study is essential reading for those who want to understand the issues as well as the non-governmental organizations involved, especially the Chinese associations of Malaysia. 0.0.
