This book focuses on fuzzy logic, a paradigm-shifting approach that challenges the binary simplicity of traditional logic systems. The concept of fuzzy logics is a powerful tool capable of handling imprecise information and accommodating the vagaries of real-world scenarios. This marks the beginning of a journey that explores how fuzzy logics can bridge gaps and fills voids in our current strategies for achieving sustainable development goals relating to sustainable cities. With regard to issues such as water scarcity, energy affordability, and urban sustainability, the traditional linear approaches often fall short in capturing their complex, dynamic, and uncertain nature. Fuzzy logics, with their ability to handle imprecise information and uncertainties, emerge as a promising tool for navigating the intricate web of variables that influence the attainment of these sustainable development goals.
This book bridges the gap between conventional disciplines such as engineering, environmental science, and urban planning by incorporating fuzzy logic ideas into talks on sustainable cities and offers insights into resource allocation strategies that will successfully lead to the intended sustainability goals by using models based on fuzzy logic. It also examines how fuzzy logic adjusts to changing circumstances so that suggested fixes are still applicable in the long run.
