I only wish every book I got to read was as lovely, fun, interesting, funny, on-brand, direct and delightful as this one. You have quite simply done a marvelous job, and take if from me, this is no easy task. You have managed to stay on topic, on brand, and write about how to love life while showing us how to love life, all the while giving us great insight into running our own shops. I adore this book, and when you add the recipes, well, it will be delicious.

More than just a cookbook! Follow the improbable and inspiring journey of Lori Rapp, an educator from Toronto, who moved to Jerusalem with her family in 1986. She, together with her husband Marvin, changed course in 1991 and launched their catering business, La Cuisine, from their modest three bedroom apartment. While busy raising their five boys, they eventually expanded their cottage company to include a bakery and two retail shops. For over 21 years, La Cuisine has been a popular feature on the Jerusalem kosher culinary scene, serving thousands of satisfied customers. Now Lori invites you into her kitchen to share her best-selling recipes with you, such as her caramel cheesecake and non-dairy tofu cheesecake, her delicious tea breads and cookies, and of course her flaky, buttery quiches. Learn the secrets for making perfect sweet and savoury doughs from scratch, as well as the very best homemade vanilla extract. Entertain your family and friends like a professional with Lori's easy to follow catering recipes. To quote Julia Child, People who love to eat are always the best people.
