Sinopsis

"Lisa M Kendrick has a poetic voice that is clear, distinct and sought after throughout Virginia’s literary community. She is the Shero of matriarchs on social media and as the Bad Witch Poet she melts the ego of the patriarchs at every reading. Now in her new collection of poems we finally have Pandora in a box."Nathan M. RichardsonPoet / Author / Douglass HistorianSpiritual Concepts Publishing "I love the poetry of Lisa Kendrick. She makes my ass look timid, and I wasn’t behavin’ a bit. She makes bible bangers question their belief, consternation can be unsettlin’. You better know your grits ’til you tangle with her. I have, and I like the afterglow."Jack CallanLittle River Poetry Festival  "Lisa M Kendrick’s flow is even whether addressing social ills, personal tragedies or finding comfort. Her style is flawless and technique versatile, nimbly dappling impressionistic images with clearly and precisely capturing soulful memories. Often projecting quiet in presentation, but not soft - packing surprises and punching rough subjects. In this collection, she bares a past that built the woman warrior."J. Scott Wilson, editor-in-chief - Wider Perspective Publishing, Poet and Author "Power and beauty come together in the poetry of Lisa M Kendrick! Using brilliant metaphors and unafraid to paint her truth with words, the Bad Witch Poet, as she is known locally, crafts spell binding poems that both entertain and make you think long after you put down her poems."Chris FelanVisual artist and spoken word performerMusician with Deathhouse Blues
