Sinopsis

The ancient Tamil region, known as "Tamilagam," encompassed present-day Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, and parts of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Once ruled by powerful dynasties like the Cheras, Cholas, Pandyas, and Pallavas, the region was plagued by frequent conflicts between local rulers and foreign invaders. Invasions by the Vijayanagara Empire, Mughals, and British East India Company significantly shaped Tamil history, leaving an indelible mark on not only the Deccan region but India as a whole.
