‘SHE WRITES’ carries poems written over six years, covering a personal life experience of 50 years, and a collective human experience of eons. This wide variety of poetic forms delves into dark and light shades of women, men, children, and our planet; a few poems even reach for the stars. The stories of the Rani of Jhansi, Phoolan Devi, the Chipko Movement, Mother Theresa, Baba Amte, Nelson Mandela, and many more, inspire; while poems based on art and paintings, invite the reader to explore nuanced pigments of imagination.

Manjula Reddy who has always enjoyed reading poetry, began writing on an international online community called Allpoetry.com. It is here that her love for writing grew into a process of continual learning and mastering of several poetic forms including the sonnet, triolet, monotetra, blank verse, free verse, haiku, tanka, haibun, and many more. Her poems have appeared in an international anthology called 'Together Through Life, Vol III', collected by Stephen Curtis, Australia. 'Neesah - A Litererary Magazine' too carries her work. Manjula continues to write from her home in Secunderabad, Telangana.
