The book covers the syllabus prescribed for B.E. (E & C, Telecom, Biomedical, Instrumentation Technology and Medical Electronics). Care is taken to develop the subject logically so that the book could also be used by BSc and diploma students. Neatly drawn diagrams, stepwise illustrations, and graded numerical examples are included in every chapter. Exercises and problems with answers are included at the end of each chapter.
The book emphasises the fundamental concepts, providing circuit description, circuit working and the circuit design for each circuit. Linear ICs developed recently, such as PLL and voltage regulator ICs, are also covered. The book is illustrated with more than 300 diagrams, and includes more than 160 solved examples.
Divided in eight chapters, the book covers:
- Direct and capacitor coupled Opamp amplifiers
- Frequency response and compensation to improve the performance of Opamp circuits
- Voltage and current sources, instrumentation amplifiers and precision rectifiers, limiting and clamping circuits
- Log and antilog amplifiers
- Non-linear circuit applications
- Power supply circuits and ICs such as the 78XX series, LM723, 555 Timer
- A/D and D/A circuits and PLL principles.
