In his debut poetry collection Ranjit Narayanan, the intrepid sailor bares the window to his soul of which the poems are a reflection. With simplicity and straight from the heart he writes about sailing, solitude, love, loss and small and large events that anchor us to reality in a perpetually rushed life. This book is for wanderers and nomads who have experience what it is to leave and to return.

Ranjit Narayanan is a Graduate of the prestigious Marine Engineering College DMET (Currently called MERI) and has sailed the wide oceans for a substantial period of seventeen years, finally finishing as a Chief Engineer on board very large ships. Having come ashore for a shore job in the office of the same company that he sailed earlier with, Anglo Eastern Ship Management. His poetry comes from his experience of the vastness of the oceans, the huge vacuum that he felt being separated from his loved ones and friends. His poems are his letters from the sea to love, to longing and to his multifaceted life.
