Acerca del autor

Kyla Baker is a writer and avid music listener coming from the west side of Chicago. She works in education during the day while pursuing her creative passions in the evenings, while also spending time with her family. She is the daughter of a God-fearing woman, the oldest of her two siblings, and now a published poet. Kyla's had a passion for writing since a young age, and her love for music shows in her cadence. She writes from the heart and shares her lived experiences about love, loss, and belonging in her debut poetry collection, I Wasn't Ready, But I'm Here.
