Acerca del autor
In her book, Take A Deep Breath: Finding What Hope Means To You, Dr. Angela Charles masterfully weaves poems of hope amidst some moments of joy and despair. The poems envelope her life as a youngster in the Appalachian Mountains and an adult in North Carolina. The poetry follows a young girl whose journey to adulthood helps her find solace in her family, reading and research, and her 24 years as an educator. Throughout the poetry, Angela's relationships with her parents, husband, sons, granddaughter, and students illustrate even in the more difficult of times, love and kindness can and does prevail. The recurring motif of words and stories serves as a powerful reminder that hope can be found
