The Saffron Surge: Untold Story of RSS Leadership

Hardcover. Condición: New. 1st Edition. Right since its inception, there has been a tradition in the RSS of not highlighting the work of an individual, so the lives and work done by the Sarsanghchalaks have not been discussed publicly much. The general perception is that the RSS chief (Sarsanghchalak) is one of the most powerful persons in the country as he holds sway over millions of swayamsevaks (volunteers) and dozens of organisations run by these swayamsevaks including the Bharatiya Janata Party which rules at the Centre as well as in several states. But what is the truth? What role Sarsanghchalaks have played in shaping the RSS? This well researched book takes one through the lives of the five Sarsanghchalaks who had steered RSS since its inception through one of its most tumultuous years. It tells a hitherto untold story about not only the lives of the Sarsanghchalaks but also the journey of the RSS itself. (jacket). Nº de ref. del artículo: 129615
