Introduction into the Basic Principles of Social Security is the first book providing a brief outline of the concepts and principles, as well as the options and techniques, which are present in the structure and development of any social security system.
The book is meant to serve as a basis for a multi-national teaching of social security. It is divided in 21 partial subjects, each of these covered in chapters of about the same number of pages, which facilitates the use for educational purposes.
Another purpose of the book is to introduce the policy-makers and administrations in Central and Eastern Europe, which deal with social security, to the Western conceptual framework relating to social protection.
