Lucía Serrano nació en Madrid en 1983 y se licenció en Bellas Artes. Posteriormente, se trasladó a Barcelona donde reside en la actualidad. Es autora e ilustradora de multitud de libros con los que ha obtenido importantes galardones como El día que olvidé cerrar el grifo, Premio Princesa de Éboli, Qué niño más lento, premio del Fondo de Cultura Económica o el Premio Fundación Cuatrogatos en 2016 por El baño de Carlota.
