The aim of this book is to present in a unified way the theory and methodology of integer programming including recent results. It contains examples how these results may be used in the construction of more efficient numerical methods. It is designed as a textbook for a one- or two-semester course at the departments of operations research, management science or industrial administration. In contrast to other books on integer programming, the author consistently uses here the notion of equivalence and relaxation among different integer problems. This makes all the considerations shorter and allows to introduce simple notations.
