Sinopsis

It takes a child to raise a village. These are the inspiring stories of boys and girls, from across India, who didn't have much to begin with. But never lost hope. They fought against circumstances, against injustice. Questioning ageold practices such as child marriage, child labour, Dowry, trafficking and inequality of gender. The inertia and indifference of adults. These kids are wiser and braver than most of us. They show us that real and lasting change is possible. Be that change, in whatever way you can. Because we owe them and all our children a better, more beautiful world. The 15 stories include the inspirational journeys of:
anoyara khatun (sandeshkhali, West Bengal) - who has saved over 2000 Children from child trafficking; anju Verma (doulatpur, Haryana) - who questioned gender discrimination in her own home; kalavathi (kurubarahalli, Karnataka) - who brought better hygiene and sanitation to her school; Sumit (Bhanwar Singh camp, new Delhi) uses rap music to bring attention to slum issues; and, Soni (grant road, Mumbai) her life changed when her talent as a cricketer was discovered..... And many others. 'We are the champions' Is a bridge between rich and poor, citybred and villagebred.
