Changing Dimensions of Library and Information Science is a selection of twenty five papers presented by the author as Keynote Addresses, texts of Lectures delivered at conferences, seminars, refresher courses, etc. These were grouped into five different units covering Role of libraries in higher education, changing trends in libraries and information services; Fundamentals of the profession, philosophy and ethics; ICT in libraries; Issues specific to different kinds of libraries; and recent concepts like information literacy, management techniques, quality in libraries, innovation in libraries, management of change in libraries, etc. Vivid elaboration of concepts like computerization, planning automation, adoption of ICT in libraries with a slant to India, electronic resources and services has been provided. Thus, the collection gives an insight to new developments in the field which are changing the dimensions of the discipline continually and for the better.
