This book is concerned with studying the relations between variables with the review of central elements in the measurement of variability in a statistical series, and to the essential concepts in judging the reliability of conclusions and clarify the basic ideas which are involved in the subsequent development. Throughout the handbook, it has been shown how the various methods may be employed in practical research work, what their limitations are, and what the results really mean. It is intended that this book will assist research workers in many fields to appreciate both the possibilities and the limitations of correlation analysis, and so gain from their data knowledge of all the relations which so frequently lie hidden beneath the surface. Aimed at advanced undergraduates in mathematics and physics, the handbook assumes a standard background of linear algebra, real analysis, and Lebesgue integration.
