Sinopsis

The book opens with the place where the story takes place: a striking red house in a dense green forest, a forest with a nice name "Tranquility Forest", and a "very special school". The story then cuts into the children's daily lives, starting with getting ready for school in the morning. Characters appear: the squirrels and frogs with their backpacks are in a hurry, the bear in his wheelchair turns the wheel himself, the rabbit kisses his mother goodbye, the fox eats his breakfast, and the duckling wakes up the skunk, who is still sleeping in. The illustrator chooses the sleepy skunk as the foreground and cleverly shows the behavior of the other animals outside through the skunk's window. The contrast between the inside and the outside is quite interesting, and the bedridden skunk will make young readers who can't get up in the morning empathize with the skunk. The portraits of a frog and a bunny hanging by the window reveal the friendship between the animals.
