Mark T. Hooker is a visiting scholar at Indiana University in the United States. He has served as a linguist and foreign area specialist in the U.S. Armed Forces and also held a civilian position at the U.S. Department of Defense. He is the author of The Military Uses of Literature and Customs and Manners of the Netherlands.
