Gulliver's Travels is often regarded by many as a beloved children's book. Gulliver seems almost childlike - in Lilliput, he freely moves people and objects around as if playing with toys; after being cast into Brobdingnag, he is as helpless and fearful as a toddler in a world of adults. However, overemphasizing this aspect more or less obscures the deeper ideological significance of the work.
