The area is primarily a tribal hamlet occupied by Hindu Malaaraya Tribe, but other categories of people belonging to general and Dalit community also inhabit the place. Participatory appraisal was conducted in Kombukuthy on 8 April 2018 by a team of 14 trained volunteers and 4 community volunteers with the participation of around 100 villagers.
