Software Defined Network, or software-configured networks, is a new approach to computer network management, the main idea of which is to separate the functions of management and data transmission. This is one of those technologies that can significantly change the state of the IT industry and move from their leading positions such vendors as Cisco, Brocade, HP, IBM. Analysts note that SDN is capable of becoming a startup machine in the field of networking technologies, which have seen "Internet ossification". The active emergence of startups in the SDN field is spurred in part by the rapid growth of venture capital investment. In five years - from 2007 to 2012 - the volume of venture capital investments has grown more than 45 times: from $10 million to $454 million. Leading analytical agencies such as Gartner and IDC give the market of SDN-solutions at least 60% growth per year at an average growth rate of IT-industry in 10-12%. Therefore, studies related to the analysis of the state of affairs in the development and implementation of SDN networks are relevant.
