The present work has focused on the principle of non-intervention in the affairs of a State: the case of elections in Africa in the face of the positions taken by the international community. Indeed, our problematic consisted in knowing if international law through the channel of the international community is capable of imposing itself in the traditional sphere of the domains of competence of a State or the sovereign affairs of a State to apply in all independence and in all sovereignty the norms relating to human rights, in particular the elections on its territory. Thus, we asked ourselves two questions: should any position taken by the international community in relation to the organization and proclamation of elections in Africa always be considered as violating the principle of non-intervention? To what extent can the international community's stance on elections in Africa be considered lawful?
