This longitudinal and non-linear study, entitled El aprendizaje significativo de las ciencias y las ingenierías como actividad de investigación para el desarrollo humano territorial. (ACIDEHT), had its beginnings in 1995. The main support for its final drafting were the seminar of the School of Sciences, "Significant learning in university classrooms and its evaluation", the research groups INYUBA, CIPAZ and CIDICA, the periodic meeting of professors of Production Engineering, the suggestions of the Direction of the School of Sciences and the in-depth interviews to the teachers, Vásquez Rojas, Ríos Carrascal, Arrieta Vergara, Daza Rosales and Torres Duarte of UNIPAZ. The work shows the results achieved by the innovation in teaching in favor of meaningful learning of students, as well as the limitations that still need to be overcome to make the ACIDETH proposal sustainable.
