The purpose of this study was to examine the differences between Conservation practices and sustainable forest resources management in Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom Nigeria. To achieve the purpose of this study, four research questions were posed which were transformed into four research hypotheses that were tested at the 0.05 level of significance. Related literature was reviewed based on the variable of the study. The survey research design was adopted for the study. The results obtained from the analysis of data indicated that, there was no significant difference between male and female in their preferences or choice of solid waste disposal methods while there were significant differences between youths and adults, low educated and high educated in their preferences or choice of solid waste disposal methods respectively. Based on the findings it was recommended among others that, the traditional beliefs that have direct relationship with the conservation of forest and other natural resources should be encouraged to help promote effective utilization and conservation of natural resources in our community.
