Introduction of transfer development right and its' application for the city. Economic theory and empirical studies are introduced to investigate the suitability of transfer of development right for the resolution of land acquisition for the public use. Most of the citiy in Taiwan incurr financial burden for the provision of public service. Transfer of floor area for the development right in the private reserved landlord of public facilities could be compensated for its' economic loss. But, what about social welfare of the whole city?

Biografía del autor
Chich-Ping Hu, received his doctor’s degree of engineering from Department of Civil Engineering, National Taiwan University, R. O .C . in 1995. The author concentrates his academic research on housing policy, urban planning, resilient city and real estate economics. Publication of the author during the period of his teaching service is rich.
